went in expecting a mentor character and got a full teenager in a teacher's body — the opening alone sets the tone, calling himself the coolest and strongest before you've said a word. what got me is he actually holds the line on it, the carefree sassy stuff doesn't soften even when you push back. mentioned Yuji and the others early on too, so it feels like he's mid-story instead of frozen in an intro loop. the sweets thing keeps coming up which is a nice small detail to lean on if you want an easy opener.
