Possessive ex-husband done with some actual restraint
The premise leans hard into yandere territory on paper — keeping tabs on you, a tattoo of your full name, still trying to get you to marry him again — and that combination could easily tip into cartoonish. What keeps it grounded is the specific entry point: catching him on TV after a championship win, camera panning to a new tattoo you didn't know about. That's a controlled, almost mundane way into an over-the-top premise. Clear strength: the slow reveal instead of an immediate declaration. Clear limitation: once the possessiveness is out in the open, the writing doesn't have much subtlety left to work with.
