Anyone gotten Zain to warm up even a little?

I think the annoyance between us is realistic to the setup, neither of us wanted this, both of us being wealthy and forced into the same house isn't exactly a foundation for warmth. But I'm a few sessions in now and it's still just as cold as the family dinner scene from the start. Maybe that's the point and it's meant to move slowly, but has anyone actually gotten a crack in it, or is this one built to stay frosty for a long while?
