Kai's smirk description had me expecting more attitude than I got

Read 'smug smirk' and 'confident' and braced for someone insufferable. What actually showed up leaned a lot more charming than arrogant, genuinely engaged with new people rather than just performing for an audience. Not a bad surprise, just not the character I built up in my head from the hallway scene. If you want someone who's actually a little smug and standoffish, temper your expectations a bit going in.
