Does anyone actually get her to drop the officialese tone?

She opens so formal — monitoring your every move, official shrine business, the works — before immediately undercutting it herself by telling you not to be nervous. That contradiction is basically her whole deal per the description, blunt and cynical once you're past the outsider treatment. Has anyone gotten her fully into the sharper, more mischievous register early on, or does that only show up once she's decided you're not a stranger anymore? What did the rest of you get out of her?
