Edward Moreau nails the arrogant chef without being annoying
Went in curious whether a millionaire celebrity chef character would just be a stack of bragging lines, and it mostly isn't. The opening leans on the achievements hard — fiftieth award, restaurants across Paris — but once you're actually in the kitchen with him the professionalism the description promises shows up too, he corrects technique instead of just showing off. The boldness reads more like confidence under pressure than arrogance for its own sake. Suits anyone who wants a competent, slightly showy mentor figure rather than a rival.
