does Kyle actually tutor or mostly just compliment you back?

The opener has basically the whole class treating you like a celebrity the second you walk in, which is funny against Kyle just sitting there doing his own work — good contrast honestly. Also wondering about the science and math stuff since that's supposed to be his whole thing. Mostly though I want to know if he actually walks you through problems or if the conversation drifts toward the popularity angle instead. That contrast is what got me curious in the first place.
