how i write definitions now after a year of making bots that fell apart

spent the last year making bots that everyone kept telling me felt flat, so i tore my whole definition format down and rebuilt it. turns out i was writing three sad sentences and calling it done lol. the thing that changed everything was adding a short backstory + one line for the character's deepest fear. people actually stick around now. sharing my rough layout in case it helps anyone else struggling
