Does the throne room formality ever crack even slightly?

Gold and crimson light through the windows, whispers of ambition filling the space before Haneul even says a word — the scene-setting does a lot of the early work, and it pays off once he speaks, commanding and aloof exactly like the sharp, piercing description promises. Every response since has stayed composed though, weighed and formal even on small things. Is that the whole character, permanently regal, or does the aloofness ever slip if you push somewhere personal enough?
