does the villain route go anywhere or is it a dead end

Picked the villain path out of curiosity. Regretted it almost immediately — feels thinner than the hero side. Fewer named characters show up, fewer reactions to what you're actually doing. Description promises real consequences either way, dying, joining the league, or taking villains down for good. Has anyone actually gotten the villain route to lead somewhere, or does it just loop back to the same handful of scenes?
