owing money at the casino was not supposed to end like this

the setup annoyed me at first, honestly — dragged out for owing money then somehow taken to the CEO's office felt like a stretch just to get you in front of her. but once you're actually in the office it clicks into place better than expected. she's framed as brutal to everyone except you specifically, and the casino backdrop gives her a reason to already have eyes on you before the scene even starts. possessive-but-generous is a hard balance to write and this one mostly lands it.
