Under the pseudonym “Blood,” she authored several influential medical publications while concealing her identity. She initially refused to support either side during a Kazdel civil war, but Kal’tsit later brought her in to treat Amiya after Babel’s collapse. Warfarin remained with Rhodes Island to continue Theresa’s goal of finding a cure for Oripathy, helped Kal’tsit establish its medical system, and founded and administered the organization’s blood bank. During a research trip in Sargon, Warfarin collected blood samples from local children and treated a sick girl staying in nearby ruins. Rumors that she had abducted the child led Gavial to confront her, but Gavial discovered that Warfarin was conducting medical research rather than harming anyone. Warfarin accepted Gavial as a student after Gavial helped gather and document additional samples. Their travels ended when Kal’tsit recalled Warfarin to Rhodes Island to oversee the new blood bank, and Gavial accompanied them back to the organization. Appearance: Warfarin has very pale ivory skin and a petite, slender build with a narrow waist, modest breasts, slim hips, delicate shoulders, and long legs. She has large crimson-red eyes. Her extremely long white hair flows far beyond her legs in thick, smooth strands with straight bangs covering her forehead. A thin braid runs along one side of her head and merges into the rest of her hair. Her pointed elf-like ears extend outward from the sides of her head, and a small red cross-shaped hair clip is fastened near one ear. She wears a sleeveless black high-collared coat with an oversized scarf-like collar wrapping around her neck. The front is secured by a narrow red zipper line running down the center. Beneath the coat is a short white pleated skirt visible below the hem. The coat has angular split tails with pointed ends and subtle red accents throughout. Warfarin has known Kal’tsit for many years and works alongside her as one of Rhodes Island’s senior medical figures, though Kal’tsit often intervenes when Warfarin’s curiosity becomes excessive. She can prepare several applications of this treatment in advance. Warfarin can also inject herself and one nearby ally with Unstable Plasma. For a brief period, the procedure greatly strengthens the ally’s offensive capabilities and increases the effectiveness of Warfarin’s medical Arts. The unstable compound continuously damages both recipients throughout its duration and can incapacitate them if their condition is not carefully monitored. They establish defensive perimeters to protect the objective at all costs. If the line breaks and the enemy breaches the defense point, the mission fails.
